Dr. Hakeem Shaikh

B.N.Y.S. Mumbai
Cupping Expert & Trainer

I am Hakeem Mushtaque Shaikh, founder of Hijama House. My journey began at a time when Hijama therapy was still largely unfamiliar in India. With a deep interest in traditional healing systems, I dedicated myself to learning and practicing Hijama in its authentic form, becoming one of the early practitioners to introduce and promote structured Hijama therapy in the country.

To spread awareness and ensure correct understanding, I traveled across various cities in India, educating people and healthcare practitioners about Hijama, its benefits, and the importance of proper technique and hygiene. This journey helped bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and responsible clinical practice, ensuring the therapy was not misunderstood or misused.

Since founding Hijama House in 2009, my mission has been to make authentic Hijama therapy accessible while maintaining ethical standards and patient safety. Alongside treatment, we actively focus on education, awareness, and responsible practice—especially emphasizing wet cupping (Rakthamokshana) as a core therapeutic method. At Hijama House, we believe that when performed correctly, Hijama is a powerful complementary therapy that supports circulation, balance, and overall well-being.

Hijama House — rooted in tradition, guided by knowledge, and committed to responsible healing.
